Controls - Mobility Vehicles can be either conventionally operated vehicles suitable for transporting people with a disability or Modified Control Mobility Vehicles which allow the vehicle to be fully operated by arm operated controls.
Most Mobility Vehicles available in Japan are for transporting the disabled and operated by a non-disabled driver. However, Modified Control Mobility Vehicles are also available which allow the vehicle to be fully operated by arm operated controls.

Manufacturer - The main difference about Mobility Vehicles in Japan is that the major Japanese Manufacturers all produce their own Mobilty Vehicles. In most other countries in the world this does not happen and it's left to aftermarket conversion companies to try and adapt the vehicles available their market as best they can.
