SHIP MORE - PAY LESS
The usual method exporters use for parts containers is "Strip & Ship".
That is, prepare just enough stock for one container. What this means is that you are normally restricted because of the "bigs" in the container, like half cuts, whole cars or body shells and never get full use of the available space in the container.
But "Strip & Ship" isn't the most profitable way to import used parts from Japan...

But "Strip & Ship" isn't the most profitable way to import used parts from Japan...
Now we can do a "Strip & Ship" container if you want. But theres another option that lets you get full containers, lets you get your best stock first and actually reduces the number of containers that you need to ship your stock.
The "Strip, Store & Ship" method lets you ship parts from the same car in different containers, optimise the available space in the container, ship your highest demand parts first and reduce the number of containers that you need to ship the same amount of stock.
The "Strip, Store & Ship" method lets you ship parts from the same car in different containers, optimise the available space in the container, ship your highest demand parts first and reduce the number of containers that you need to ship the same amount of stock.
As an example, let's say that you had 25 cars where 2 were to be shipped whole, the others dismantled as front cuts and parts and you also wanted some bulk parts like nose cuts, bonnets, fenders etc.
Rather than just dismantle just the first 8 cars and ship them with the whole car and bulk parts - leaving big gaps and wasted space in the container - we can dismantle all 23 cars and get the panels and small parts into container 1. Container 2 will have 15 front halves, another whole car and parts.
This means you:

Container 2 will have 15 front halves, another whole car and parts.
This means you:
- get all your quick moving front panel and small parts in the first container, to get your money back quickly.
- avoid having to do a third container to ship the leftovers. This means a saving of between Y230,000 and Y480,000 - depending on your destination - for loading, drayage, sea freight etc. This is because the Strip, Store & Ship method made full use of the available space in Container 1.
A bonus is that you get solidly packed containers where the stock is held in tight and can't move around and get damaged.
And for our ongoing clients it gets even better. By using our Best Available Stock system each time we do a container for you, you can ask us to give priority to shipping the best available stock that we have in storage for you, which means you have quick sales waiting as soon as the stock lands for the fastest stock turnaround and the best cashflow.
FREE SHIPPING SYSTEM
A 40 foot high cube container lets you have stacks of front cuts 3 high which can mean better use of space inside the container than a 20 foot container where 2 high stacks are usually the limit.
For some shipping destinations you can get high cube 40 foot containers at the same price as standard 40 foot containers.
This means that you are getting an extra 13% of space - 9 cubic metres - for free. The extra space lets you ship another 6 or 7 front cuts, or panels or whatever, all for no extra cost.

CUSTOMISED FRAME SYSTEM
For shipments that require separation between body shells you can select a Customised Steel Frame System:
- Fully adjustable and customisable which means more support and protection for your stock!
- High strength thin walled tubing for maximum strength and ease of handling.
- Custom fitted to the internal dimensions of the container. Yes, internal container dimensions do vary - which means the frame is locked onto the walls of the container for no movement and maximum security for your stock.
- No need for welding, which means no welding damage to your valuable stock!
- All steel system for no bio-security clearance problems at your port of entry which means quick clearances and no expensive penalties.
- Can be easily dismantled with a spanner which means faster unloading and no stock damage.
- A complete system which can be re-used, re-configured and re-sold which means no waste and maximum profit.
SAFE STACKING SYSTEM
Our Safe Stacking System physically separates the engine bay area of the front cuts below from the sump, floor and suspensions of the front cuts above.
Remove front cuts quickly, safely and easily without damaging anything and without wasting valuable time.
Compare this with the other guys who don't have separation. And good luck for separating these front cuts without frustration and damage.

CLEAN CUTTING SYSTEM
Our Clean Cutting System means:
- Stock Protection. No sparks, no rough jagged edges, no chance of fires during cutting (yes, this can happen with other methods) and no damage to your valuable parts.
- Avoiding Transit Damage. Cuts locate securely one on top of the other for safe handling and no movement, which means no costly transit damage.
We've been developing the best cutting technique by a process of constant improvement (kaizen) since the 1990's.
Compare our system with all the "dirty cutting" techniques out there that are messy and damage your stock.

PARTS CLEANING SYSTEM
When you import used parts from Japan you're not just importing parts but without proper cleaning you're also importing dirt, bugs, grass seeds, leaves, human hair and pet fur.
A typical 40 Foot High Cube parts container will contain at least 20 litres of dirt, seeds, hair and bugs if not properly cleaned in Japan prior to loading the container.
This isn't immediately obvious since it's mostly hidden in carpet, inside bumpers and fenders, between the engine bay undercover and the bottom of the engine bay, in the underside of strut towers and in the interior air intake chamber.
However, the inspectors at the port of entry know exactly where to look.
Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United States, South America and Europe are increasingly strict on the cleanliness of used parts that are imported and failure to get parts properly cleaned in Japan can result in expensive delays, penalties, holding charges and shipments can even be banned if contaminants exceed their limits.

The best place to clean parts is in Japan before the parts are loaded into the container and shipped. Dirt, plant matter, seeds and bugs can be removed to meet government standards. Cleaning your shipment in Japan lets you:
- Avoid Banning. In extreme cases import officials can ban the importation of excessively contaminated stock. Cleaning in Japan prior to shipping avoids this.
- Avoid Delays & Penalties. Import officials will often have the power to demand cleaning at the port of entry before the stock can be moved outside the quarrantine area. Cleaning in Japan avoids expensive penalty fees, cleaning charges or delays at the point of import becase of biological security issues.
- Avoid Contaminant Disposal Problems. Cleaning in Japan solves the problem and expense of having to dispose of the imported dirt, plant matter and bugs in the destination country.
The TS EXPORT® Cleaning System offers:
- Panel Removal. Complete removal of panels which means the both insides of panels can be cleaned and the areas (the inside of fenders are a trap for dirt which can only be cleaned with removal).
- Hand Cleaning. Hand cleaning of bumpers, lights, doors and panels.
- Contaminant Targeting. Targeting the three big problem areas for biological contaminants for front cuts, half cuts, and front clips. We know what import inspectors are looking for (we've met personally with them and have done inbound biological contaminant cleaning.
- Air & Water Spray. Cleaning by high pressure air and water jet spray.
Which means you need never worry about costly delays and penalties because of dirty stock ever again.
FAST UNLOADING SYSTEM
The longer it's taking to unload your container the more money it's costing you. You're paying your team to help you and often paying for use of an unloading area.
But we have a solution for this.
Our Fast Unloading System saves you time and money and minimises the chance of damage while unloading your stock from the container and getting it to your premises.
Our Fast Unloading System saves you time and money and minimises the chance of damage while unloading your stock from the container and getting it to your premises.
This is how the Fast Unloading System works:
- Front Cuts. Our Safe Stacking System means free access to front cuts which lets you remove them from the container simply by driving the forklift into the container, lifting the cut and reversing out. There's no need to try and pry apart front cuts that are sat directly on each other (a common problem with other stacking methods) risking damaged and wasting time. Our moduler system lets you remove the middle and top front cuts in three high stacks as a single unit, saving you time and avoiding problems with forklift mast height limits. Usually any forklift of sufficient capacity that can be driven into the container can unload stacked front cuts with our system. This means you don't need a multi-stage mast forklift to safely unload stacked front cuts with our system.
- Parts. Because all panels have been removed there is no chance of panel damage while removing the half cut from the container.
- Engines. All engines arrive with a nylon sling pre-attached. which means no messing around repeatedly trying to find attachment points on engines and attaching and detaching chains. You have the sling available for moving the engine up until it's palleted and on your shelves.
- Small Parts. Small parts like lights, stereos, meters etc. are protected and boxed for easy, safe handling from the time you remove them from the container all up to the time you're ready to put them on your shelves.
AUTO PARTS CONTAINER COST CALCULATOR
The TS Parts Container Cost Calculator lets you see with a few clicks:
- Your total FOB and C&F budget for your next container

AUTO PARTS CONTAINER PLANNING SYSTEM
For parts containers we use a Container Planning System - individually tailored for each shipment.
This means:
- You can optimise the container loading configuration to prevent stock damage and give the highest load factor
- You know the contents and layout of your container before it arrives! This means that you can pre-sell stock before it arrives and plan your container unloading and storage requirements for minimum delays and minimum costs
- You can buy the right stock in the right quantities for the best possible load factor and more profit
- You can easily make stock substitutions between containers which means you can land your highest priority stock first for quick sales and maximum cashflow.
