BILLING SYSTEM
The billing system is simple, transparent and efficient. Your stock and freight forwarding fees are billed at cost and a flat service fee is charged per vehicle or stock unit. This means you only pay for the services you require. And PAY AS YOU GO PAYMENT TERMS smooth your cashflow. This means that you can use your current sales to invest in stock for your next shipment for ongoing profits.
FREIGHT FORWARDING
Freight forwarding fees are billed at cost and you receive your own copy of the freight forwarders account for verification.
This account clearly itemises the charges such as Japanese Customs Clearance Fees, Ocean Freight, Container Drayage, Terminal Handling Charges etc.
This means you you have genuine proof that what you have been billed is the actual cost of freight forwarding and shipping services.
Tip!
Most exporters add a margin to freight forwarding services. Ask your current exporter to provide you with a copy of your freight forwarding account and compare the amount on the account to what you have actually been charged.
TRADING ACCOUNT
Your personalised TRADING ACCOUNT provides you with an ongoing record of all credits and debits to your account.
Every time you make a remittance or buy something this is clearly itemised line by line.

- Supplier/ Auction House Payment Billed at actual cost and a copy of the auction house invoice uploaded to your Client Portal for verification.

- Pre Shipment Services These are optional services, but could include inspections, aircon gas removal, cleaning etc. Billed at actual cost and a copy of the auction house invoice uploaded to your Client Portal for verification.
- Freight Forwarding Fees These typically include Japanese Customs Clearance Fees, Ocean Freight, Freight Forwarders' Service Fee, Marine Insurance and Container Loading, Container Drayage and Terminal Handling Charges for container shipments. Costs will vary according to departure and destination ports. These costs are billed at actual cost and a copy of the auction house invoice and freight forwarders invoice is uploaded to your Client Portal for verification.
- TS Service Fee Special B2B rate of Y50,000 with some vehicles FREE.

A low flat B2B service fee of Y50,000 applies per vehicle. With TS REWARDSSM you can also qualify for vehicles FREE OF OUR NORMAL SERVICE FEE.

Tip!
If you're comparing the service fees of exporters from Japan always ask the exporter if other costs such as trucking, freight forwarding and sea freight are being billed at actual cost or cost plus margin:
- Sometimes exporters will quote a low service fee but pad out the other costs - which means you are not really saving money - but often pay more. Always check that you are only paying the actual cost of the other services involved in the export of your vehicle.
- If the exporter quotes you an "Export Fee" it is usually not actual cost but "cost plus margin". You are paying more than you should.
- Always ask the exporter for a copy of the freight forwarders statement so you can verify that you are being billed the actual cost. If the exporter is not willing to provide you with a copy of this they are probably billing you at "cost plus margin" not actual cost. TS EXPORT® always provides you with a copy of the Freight Forwarders account for verification.
