I’m Devona Brazier and I love sewing, crafting, fashion, etsy, saving money and the thrill of finding the perfect something for $.20 at the thrift store. This is a blog for people like me.

I spend most of my time raising my two darling daughters, the second most amount of time annoying my husband. With the time that’s left I create. I have always been a thrift store shopper, and would fall in love with the ugliest things because I could see its potential. So, in the spirit of creativity, coupled with a lifestyle of recycling and conservationism I started my clothing line “Recycling at its Cutest.” I find beautiful fabrics that for whatever reason have been cast away and use them to recreate a new item, hopefully retaining a hint of what it once was. I value usefulness and beauty over “vintage,” and individuality over broad appeal. You won’t find any “pillowcase dress” tutorials here.
One last thing to add. I’m patternaphobic.

Hi!!! I just stumbled upon your blog while googling “vintage sink skirt” as I ponder a way to brighten up the bathrooms of a house I *might* be buying. You are a girl after my own heart! Except I only aspire to be as crafty as you. My friend Heide is teaching me to sew…I live in New Haven, CT, and I blog at https://tomatoesonthevine.blogspot.com. I have two little boys, Sean and Nolan, who are 6 and 3, respectively. I’m divorced; engaged; in the process of buying a house; fulltime worker; former stay-at-home mom; Yankee fan; yoga teacher; lover of food/cooking/baking; and I have lost years of my life on Etsy.
;o)
Thanks for sharing your little corner of the world with the rest of us!
xoxo
