About Osbeth
Osbeth Menken Gilmore is an independent-spirited woman who generally follows the traditions of her generation, but breaks free more frequently than she admits. She invited her daughter Nan and her granddaughter Elsie to accompany her when she took a trip on the SS Vulcania, but was surprised when her experiences at sea brought up reflections of deeper issues, like: illness, dying, what does life mean?
Nan and Elsie have their own ways of looking at and dealing with the world. Individuals – but interwoven – as we all are.
