TCF for Vendors

TCF for Vendors
A Vendor is a company that does not ordinarily have direct access to end-users of publishers. Vendors can be Ad servers, measurement providers, advertising agencies, DSPs, SSPs, and more.
Vendors must register to participate in the TCF and do this by applying for an annual Vendor membership with the TCF through completing the Global Vendor registration process (Vendor Registration).
Once a Vendor is registered and operational, all its information will be included in the “Global Vendor List” (GVL), a publicly available and machine-readable registry hosted by IAB Europe.
Vendors following the TCF Policies specifically perform the following:
- Provide and maintain all information required for inclusion in the Global Vendor List (GVL);
- Update their softwares for use by Publishers and Vendor-partners, such as scripts and tags that result in personal data processing or the storing and/or accessing of information on user devices in order to:
- Retrieve and/or receive users’ choices in real-time
- Respect such choices e.g. by not storing or accessing information on a user’s device without having obtained consent
- Ensure they don’t transmit personal data to another Vendors unless the receiving Vendor as a legal basis for processing
