I came across on twitter from someone I follow and couldn’t agree more. So I had to make it a post.
 I usually veer away from watching religious and political discussions but Mr. Skarsgard (Yes the actor and father of Alex, Gustav and Bill aka Pennywise) I had to listen to, or shall I say read the translation to. I couldn’t agree more with him, as he explained how I feel better than I could.

Read more: On Religion classes on Wednesdays then around 13 I started checking out the new age section of the book stores & libraries. There I found books on Wicca and Pagan religions and always (at least on and off) had an interest in Norse Mythology and culture.
I can sort of understand the need for a religion to believe in one god as with the Norse & Greek/Roman pantheons,  it can get a bit confusing as to which god is the right one to pray to for protection, help with a test or finding that misplaced item or whatever you need help with…but isn’t it somewhat the same with  Christianity with their saints which in as sense you could say other religious pantheons are. Zeus & Odin are ‘The God’ and in a sense you could say all the gods & goddesses Thor, Artemis and the others are the saints (so to speak) of their pantheons.
I just thought as well if the Christian (and all if off-shoots) God is supposed to the only and as I always thought jealous as “not to worship any other idols” (or however that’s phrased) then WHY are there saints!?
Quite honestly I think the PRE-christian religions had it right. One god is not enough, there’s too many voices for one to hear; its like having an anxiety or panic attack. Having to sort thorough the noise of the trivial, frivolous and mundane requests and sorting through all that to get to the ones THAT REALLY NEED the help. Never mind alone able to grant all said wishes (for lack of a better term) of those prayers.
While I don’t actually pray, I do ask for strength to get me through my day if I’m having a bad one, the wisdom to deal with something or Help me find something I can’t remember where I put it (surprisingly the last is usually answered). My intention is always there to keep family safe, BUT sadly ‘they’ whatever powers that be, do not listen when you want them to fix the world or deal with politics…However that poor excuse of an assassin might have been more a warning to a certain someone to change (something like the Christmas Ghosts of past present and future) than an answer to my request…unless they were humoring me.
