Kenyan musicians have appealed for peace and have expressed the need for calm so that Kenyans may all live in peace and harmony. Talks are underway between the President and world leaders but this is an initiative to awake the youth to do their part in also voicing the cause.Kenyans as a whole are directly or indirectly affected by the recent incidents in the past week.A song has been done by several artistes who have come together to contribute for this worthy cause.The song has been produced by Robert Kamanzi.kudos!Lets keep calm and maintain peace.
Its Hon. Emilio Mwai Kibaki again for five years!!! The sitting President was announced to be the country’s leader for another five years by the Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Kenya, Mr. Samuel Kivuitu on the 30th December 2007. Hon Kibaki won the race defeating his nearest challenger by around two hundred thousand votes. The President was later sworn in at State House in an event attended by Honorable Members of Parliament, The Judiciary and the Electoral Commission of Kenya.
We Kenyans congratulate the President and wish him all the best in his second year in Office.

Tusker Project Fame East Africa finalist is back like crazy and has launched a Christmas album,”Nii Mucaire” available at Nakumatt Media Store.Apparently she is also set to release her debut album scheduled for release later!She made her mark during the show but did not manage to scoop the title.Her infectious vocals indicate that she will take the industry by storm…Big things are are definitely in store for Linda!!!Way to go girl.
Kenyan group Yunasi have been named the winners of BBC World Service’s Next Big Thing 2007 competition at the Maida Vale studios in London.The band, comprising seven men from East Africa and a French woman, triumphed with their song Ndi Ndi Ndi, about the dangers of excess drinking.
They were praised by the all-star judging panel for their “wide open, exuberant vocals” and for being “different to 99% of pop music”.
“Somehow we knew we were going to take it,” said the band’s lead singer Simon Maranga Nyarieko.
“Our song is the best thing that has ever been done in terms of music. We came thinking we were going to take the prize, but we were nervous. Now we have it,we are good to go!”Kudos guyz!!!!

More and more artistes are coming together to contribute their talents for a worthwhile project.A concert was staged this weekend to discuss the World Social Forum Report.(Deep huh??)The event organized by the World Social Forum featured the screening of a Kenyan Movie,”Kibera Kid.”Artistes then performed a 3hr show tagged”Believe”which is also the title of the song used for sending a message of peace to the youth in the event of the Mt.Elgon,Kuresoi violence. The line-up included Didge,Wakamba Wawili,Biam,Model Liz Ogumbo,Chebet Koech,Mtapa,Wendy Munene amongst others.They will also be in Molo and Kuresoi this week!Kudos to Ya’ll!!!!!!!Good work!
