About Me
Hi, I am Zhen Li (李振). I recently received my Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering from Tsinghua University (Nov. 2025), under the supervision of Prof. Shixia Liu and Prof. Hui Zhang. Prior to that, I received my M.Phil. degree from the CSE Department at HKUST (2018), under the supervision of Prof. Huamin Qu. I obtained my Bachelor's degree from the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University (2016).
My research primarily focuses on the intersections between visual analysis and machine learning. Specifically, my work spans two complementary directions:
VIS4AI: I develop visual analytics methods for understanding machine learning models with different architectures and their training data biases. Through interactive visualizations, I enable effective identification and mitigation of both model representation issues and data biases, thereby enhancing model performance and fairness.
Intelligent Data Synthesis: I address the challenge that large model development is constrained by the scarcity of high-quality, domain-specific data, particularly for complex infographic charts where data is difficult and costly to obtain. I propose a synthesis framework that uses multi-agent collaboration and knowledge guidance to generate high-quality data at scale.
