Providing Psychedelic Care and Emotional Support
Supportive and specialized care for people experiencing non-ordinary states of consciousness
This year, millions of people will use psychedelics—many of them for the first time.
Taking psychedelics can result in overwhelming and uncomfortable experiences—particularly for first-time users, at high doses, or without adequate preparation and setting. Psychedelic harm reduction includes a variety of methods to help prevent and transform difficult experiences while in a non-ordinary state of consciousness.
Zendo Project provides education on how to support someone experiencing a non-ordinary state of consciousness. We also provide care services at events around the country, helping anyone in need of emotional support.
How We Help
Psychedelic Care and Emotional Support
Mission
Zendo Project offers professional harm reduction education to communities and organizations, and provides peer support services at events to help transform difficult psychedelic experiences – and other complex emotions – into opportunities for learning and growth.
Vision
We envision a world where communities are educated, resourced, and engaged in applying harm reduction principles to support individuals exploring psychedelic states; recognizing that challenging experiences can be opportunities for self-exploration and healing.

Psychedelics Go Mainstream: Why Sitter Training Matters
When I watched Dr. Rachel Yehuda’s recent CBS Mornings interview on the rise of psychedelic-assisted therapy, I felt both inspired and deeply affirmed. She said, “For many people what comes up can be very overwhelming, and if they don’t have somebody there to talk them through it, then some things can happen that would be
