Yardbird Suite, volunteer-powered by the Edmonton Jazz Society, is Edmonton’s home for jazz since 1957. Located in the cultural hub of Old Strathcona, we are a favoured destination for lovers of live jazz and beyond in a casual, intimate venue. We are dedicated to presenting the very best in jazz, blues, soul, and the indefinable.
Parking is available in the City of Edmonton lot just outside our doors. $6 maximum from 5pm to 2am or $2.50 per hour

Shelley Blandford is an abstract artist who paints with acrylic, ink, & oil, in Edmonton. Her work focuses on the process of exploration and experimentation with acrylic pouring and alcohol inks. In her work, she accesses the tranquility of nature through expressive movement, where she aims to transcend the painting’s material constraints and transport the viewer to a moment of stillness and peace.
