Hoopla service access is ending effective 11/1/25.
Hoopla operates on a “pay-per-use” model, and while this offers flexibility, it also means a cost for each item checked out is incurred by the library providing the service. This means that the more patrons who used Hoopla, the more expensive it became for us. Unfortunately, due to lack of funding needed to sustain this service, the Wayne Library Alliance, in coordination with the Northeast Library District, made the difficult decision to end access to Hoopla. This decision does not affect Overdrive’s Libby, which is still available for patrons to use with their library card.
