No More Subsidies
Waterkeeper Alliance, along with a coalition of 30+ organizations, including seven Waterkeeper groups, filed a rulemaking petition urges the USDA to limited federal support for manure digesters. Hundreds of millions of dollars intended to cut energy costs have already been funneled to costly manure digesters, benefitting industrial-scale livestock operations.
Who Is Waterkeeper
Kenya Lake Victoria Waterkeeper Roniance Adhiambo has been protecting Lake Victoria since childhood. From starting environmental clubs in school to leading community education, wetland restoration, and advocacy today, Roniance is working to safeguard Africa’s largest lake and the millions of people who depend on it for their livelihoods.
PFAS & Human Rights
PFAS contamination is a global human rights issue. Waterkeeper Alliance submitted a comment to the UN Special Rapporteur ahead of the 2026 Human Rights Council report, calling for urgent action on PFAS to protect water and public health, prevent exposure, and ensure accountability from source polluters.
PFAS-Free Pesticides
We’re calling on EPA Administrator Zeldin to stop approving PFAS-containing pesticides, warning that his recent decisions contradict science and his own congressional record, giving chemical industry a free pass to pollute.
Our Impact
We’re a global movement of community-based advocates united for clean, healthy, and abundant water for all people and the planet. We preserve and protect water by connecting local Waterkeeper groups worldwide.
