The 29th Days of Poetry and Wine are approaching

From August 18 to 23, Ptuj will once again turn into the perfect summer setting for the Days of Poetry and Wine festival, organized by the Beletrina publishing house. Known as one of the most unique cultural events in Slovenia, the festival offers something for everyone. This year, visitors can enjoy more than sixty events — from Grand poetry poetry readings and panel discussions to cozy courtyard performances, poetry walks, wine tastings, art exhibitions, film screenings, a program for children and young people, and concerts.

Literary evening with Vesna Milek and sparkling wine tasting

Literature and wine are undoubtedly a good combination, as the Days of Poetry and Wine festival has been proving for many years. In cooperation with our festival partner Radgonske gorice, we are organising a literary evening where we will enter the world of one of the most fascinating women in history - through the narrative of one of Slovenia's most prolific authors. On Thursday, 5 June, at 6 pm, you are invited to Dom penine for a literary evening with Vesna Milek about her book Kleopatra - naj se zgodi.

103. Wicked Tasting!: with Melita Forstnerič Hajnšek and Dušan Benčina (Vina Benčina)

In May, the last Wicked Tasting! before the Days of Poetry and Wine will take place in the shelter of Dom KULTure muziKafe. We invite you to join us on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 7 p.m. at Dom KULTure muziKafe in Ptuj! This evening brings an exceptional guests: Melita Fortnerič Hajnšek, who will present her debut book Taka nisem bila nikoli, and winemaker Dušan Benčina (Vina Benčina).
