Off Our Streets, Out of Our Communities: Abolish ICE & Border Patrol for Good — NOW!

A GOVERNMENT THAT claims the right to blow up unarmed boats at sea in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific will also feel free to kill its population at home.
A government that kidnaps the ruler of a foreign country, seizes its resources, and proclaims the intention to “run the country for years” will trample the democratic freedoms and civil rights of its own population with equal arrogance.
The violent terror campaign unleashed against immigrants has resulted in the murder of Renee Good, who answered a call to observe ICE presence. Trump has doubled down by threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act to quell the growing tide of protests in Minneapolis and beyond. This is designed to intimidate anyone who stands up against ICE and Border Patrol terror. It arises out of the tradition that U.S. police have used against Black and Indigenous people since the founding of the United States: surveying, stopping, arresting, killing.
Trump’s assertion of a “Donroe Doctrine,” threats to take Greenland, and pursuit of a white supremacist, domestic agenda all reflect an attempt to dominate the world on behalf of Trump and his cronies. The fights to stop these atrocities at home and abroad are really one and the same struggle.
Said a snarling ICE agent, “Haven’t you learned from the last two days?” as he confronted a woman protester, grabbing and throwing her phone to the ground. In fact, YES: Hundreds of thousands, even millions of people across this country have learned from the execution of Renee Good that we are in a fight for our rights and our lives.
The year 2025 was the deadliest on record for deaths in ICE’s infamous privately run detention and torture facilities, with 32 fatalities recorded among the more than 68,000 people they currently hold. And Keith Porter, Jr. — an African American father with two children — was shot to death on New Year’s Eve by an off-duty immigration officer at his Los Angeles apartment complex.

ON SATURDAY MORNING, January 24th, Alex Jeffrey Pretti was on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis, filming with his phone masked ICE agents as they interacted with a group protesting their presence.
Observing that one of the agents shoved a protester to the ground, he placed himself between the two and reached to help her up. The goon pepper sprayed Pretti as others moved in, grabbing him from the back and forcing him down. Although he tried once more to help the woman, he was hit several times with the…
New Doctrine of U.S. International Policy Under Trump, or Neo-fascism at the Helm of the World’s Leading Military Power
Éric Toussaint
Posted January 21, 2026

THE PUBLICATION OF the new U.S. national security doctrine in early December 2025 marks a sharp break with the past due to its openly militaristic, authoritarian, and ideologically reactionary nature. Under the guise of strategic realism, the Trump administration is now embracing a logic of unapologetic imperial dominance, fueled by neo-fascist references, climate denial, and an explicit rejection of human rights and multilateralism. In this Q&A, Éric Toussaint analyses the document, placing…
Trump in Greenland: Old-fashioned Colonialism and Acceleration of the Climate Catastrophe!

Almost everyone is currently talking, and rightly so, about Trump’s clearly stated intention to occupy and annex Greenland “by hook or by crook.” However, no one has even mentioned what would be by far the most important and serious consequence of this imperialist and colonialist act of unbridled Trumpism: the enormous….

Why Syria Needs Better Governance… and a New Kind of Opposition

LARGE RALLIES IN support of Syria’s ruling authorities were organised last month across various cities controlled by Ahmed al-Sharaa’s government. Whilst they were presented as demonstrations ‘against division’ and for the unity of the country, sectarian slogans were heard amongst protesters.
It was a similar case for the massive demonstrations celebrating the first anniversary of the Assad regime’s fall. These events highlight….

The ongoing protests rocking Iran express deep popular anger, born of decades of dictatorship, high living costs, uncontrollable inflation and the collapse of living conditions for millions of people. International sanctions and the disastrous economic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran have caused a deep slump, while the regime’s elites and the Revolutionary Guards have amassed immense fortunes.
Starting with traders in Tehran’s Grand Bazaar, the social unrest quickly spread to more than 80 cities,…

December 17, 2025: More rain today. After at least 10 days of continuing rain, with only short breaks in between. Yesterday there was a high wind warning as well. There are literally rivers of rain hitting the Northwest Coast, coming all the way from Hawaii. One after another atmospheric rivers, at least five, so far. Small towns like Sumas (right on the Canadian border), Everson and Nooksack are still recovering from equally bad flooding the occurred in 2021.
Melt ICE for Good! Agent Executes Minneapolis Mother of Three

RAGE HAS ERUPTED across the United States following the cold-blooded execution of Renee Nicole Good, 37, by Immigrant and Customs Enforcement agent Jonathan Ross on January 7 as masked ICE gangs roamed the cold streets of Minneapolis looking for suspected immigrants to snatch.
The fury of demonstrators marching in their hundreds, or thousands, in dozens of cities was inflamed by the immediate announcements of Trump officials that the shooting was a “justified self-defense” provoked by…

Pamphlets from Solidarity

Manifesto for an ecosocialist revolution outlines the why and how to break with capitalist growth. Adopted by the Fourth International, it moves from an analysis of capitalism to developing a program that – through self-organization – can break with commodification and productivism and halt the destruction of the planet on which we depend on for our survival.

Socialism, What It Is, Why We Need It outline capitalism‘s exploitation of both workers and the environment and sketches an alternative.
THE “SOCIALISM-FROM-BELOW” tradition views the working class as the central agent of overthrowing a system based on the market and the exploitation, alienation and unequal society it perpetuates.

The POUM: Republic, Revolution and Counterrevolution recounts the story of the largest workers’ party in Barcelona on the eve of the Spanish Civil War. This introductory book outlines the POUM’s origin and political ideas as well as its role in the revolution. Its author, Andy Durgan, has written half a dozen histories of the Spanish Civil War and was historical advisor on Ken Loach’s 1995 award-winning film, Land and Freedom.
