What is Network IDEAs, and what does it offer?

International Development Economics Associates (IDEAs) is a global network of economists, researchers, and activists committed to promoting equitable, sustainable, and pluralist approaches to development economics, especially from the perspective of the Global South.

Who are the experts and contributors behind the content?

IDEAs’ content is created by a global network of progressive economists, researchers, and scholars, many of whom are based in the Global South. The organization is led by an Executive Committee and guided by an Advisory Board of eminent economists. The network includes academics, policy analysts, and activists from over 100 countries who are committed to providing alternative, heterodox analyses of economic development. Who can become a member of IDEAs?

We invite economists, scholars, researchers, and practitioners committed to non-orthodox, development-focused economic thought.

There are two types of membership:
1) Regular Members – By invitation, based on contributions to the field and alignment with IDEAs’ vision.
2) Network Members – Open to all individuals who share our goals and wish to engage with our work.
