Florida Work Experience Program
Apply for off campus part-time jobs, earn market level salaries and obtain experience in your field of study.
International Students
International Students (students on an F1 Visa) interested in working on campus should contact their campus International Students Office for specific instructions and information on pertinent requirements.
Programs Description
Federal Work Study Program
On-campus positions to assist departments with clerical work and other duties as assigned.
Federal Community Service
On-and off-campus positions designed to serve the community. This program includes working with local non-profits tackling community issues (Civic Leadership Fellows Program), providing literacy tutoring to children, and other opportunities in the public interest.

Florida Work Experience Program (FWEP)
On- and off-campus positions which complement and reinforce the students' educational and career goals. Off-campus positions available with a host of participating employers in the community.
Institutional Work Study
On-campus positions designed to assist those students who do not meet the eligibility criteria for the Federal Work Study or FWEP. International students who are seeking on-campus jobs often use this program.
STUDENT Eligibility Requirements
- Completion of FAFSA is pre-requisite to any Student Work Program with the exception of F1-Visa Students. Your Financial Aid must be in processed status. Make sure you have submitted all your documents
- A minimum of 6 credit course enrollment (30 College prep limit rule applies). Once hired, you must maintain this credit minimum throughout the term and every term while in the work program.(except F-1 Visa students who must always be enrolled full time).
- Must meet and maintain the Financial Aid Standards of Academic Progress to continue participating in the program once hired.
- All work program participants must complete the "Service Excellence for Student Employees" workshop. This is mandatory for new student employees. Upon completion, students will become confident team players and understand the connection between campus work and their future careers.
- Must have a Florida residency for tuition purposes (FWEP only).
- Must not have previously received a baccalaureate degree unless enrolled in an eligible educator preparation institute (FWEP only).
