Better late than never: my recap of #OpenSearchConNA and #CommunityOverCodeNA 2025! OpenSearch con NA was a delight: I was inducted into the inaugural group of OpenSearch project ambassadors, and gave a talk about why Open Source needs more content (not just docs) from the community. I saw many, many great talks about the future of OpenSearch and its ever-present moves in the AI space. I was only at Community Over Code NA for a little under 24 hours, but they were quite fun: the first night I ran a game called Crash Pandas! at the community game night (I even got an MC shout-out), and gave my first real talk about community in years; about inclusivity and how we can foster it. I look forward to next year's events!
