About the Web Edition
Online access to all proceedings published by Cascadilla Proceedings Project is free. This provides the broadest possible readership for these proceedings. You do not need to register, log in, or pay an annual fee.
Every paper published on the Cascadilla Proceedings Project web site is identical to the print edition in content, formatting, and pagination. The papers are in PDF format: the most stable and readable format currently available. Adobe Reader can display, search, and print PDF files, and is a free download from Adobe if you do not already have a copy. We work to ensure that every PDF file we publish is compatible from Acrobat Reader 5 up through current versions of Adobe Reader.
How should I cite papers from this web site?
Because these proceedings are published in book form as well as being available on this site, a paper from one of these proceedings should be cited just like any other print publication. All of the citation details are on the final page of each PDF file available on this site. The publisher is Cascadilla Proceedings Project. To avoid confusion between Cascadilla Press and Cascadilla Proceedings Project, please do not abbreviate the publisher to just Cascadilla. The place of publication is Somerville, Massachusetts, USA. Massachusetts is commonly abbreviated as Mass. or as MA.
Do not publish URLs or links to individual papers on the Cascadilla Proceedings Project web site. At the end of a citation, you can add the following: "Available at lingref.com, document #13498." (Make sure you use the actual document number.) Rather than having to transcribe an entire URL, the use of a unique document number will make it easy for readers to find the actual paper being cited.
