The Jazzschool
The Jazzschool community music program offers ensembles, classes and workshops for instrumentalists and vocalists, focusing on theory, performance, musicianship, improvisation, composition, history, culture, aesthetics, and the music business.
The Jazzschool provides music education and performance opportunities for people of all ages and levels of ability. Consisting of the Jazzschool Adult Music Program and the Jazzschool Young Musicians Program, the Jazzschool operates year-round on a quarterly basis and offers an array of courses, ensembles, performance opportunities, and workshops to build all aspects of musicianship. Students are frequently featured in concert performances, free to the public. With a formidable faculty of renowned musicians and educators, the Jazzschool is a cornerstone of the Bay Area’s thriving music scene.
I have taken a few drumming classes and workshops and have been inspired by your instructors, and venue.
I do not think I could have made it this far, both artistically and professionally, without the support and encouragement of the superb Jazzschool instructors.

The Jazzschool is located at 2087 Addison Street in the heart of the Downtown Berkeley Arts District, within a block of the Downtown Berkeley BART station.
