African Legacy Tours are conducted as part of the cultural offerings of the Idakeda Group Ltd. In the event that you are unable to enjoy your booked tour, we are happy to work with you to reschedule, suggest another tour or you may consider gifting your tour so someone else may enjoy the experience.
Alternatively, here are our terms for cancellations and refunds:
Cancellation requests should be made via email only
30 – 16 days before the tour – Full refund
15 days before the tour – 50% refund
Less than 15 days before the tour– No refund
Personalised Tours
30 + days before the tour – 75% refund
0-15 days before the tour – No refund
In the event that we are unable to provide your booked tour experience, we will contact you in a timely manner to reschedule or arrange a refund.
Force Majeure
On rare occasions a tour may be rescheduled or cancelled to safeguard the health and safety of our tour participants due to force majeure, that is, events that are outside of our control or that of our service providers. In these circumstances we will not be able to accept liability for the tour not taking place or for any additional expenses of tour participants (e.g. change in flights or cruise schedules, transportation or loss or damage to personal items).
Examples of force majeure events include:
Natural disasters (such as floods, tsunami, earthquake or volcanic eruption)Â
War
Armed conflict
Terrorism
Unplanned actions by government or local authorities e.g. roadblocks, flight cancellations
Unannounced strikes by airport staffÂ
Epidemics or pandemics
Please note that tour participants are responsible for ensuring that they adhere to all government mandated vaccination and testing requirements prior to participating in our tours.
Travel insurance is not included as part of our tour offerings.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a welcoming and thoughtful manner. This is demonstrated by our willingness to amicably resolve any disagreements through negotiation or mediation. Any disputes related to our provision of tours will be governed by the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago.
By booking a tour with African Legacy Tours, you agree to these terms and conditions and affirm that you are 18 years or over at the time of the booking.
