Interested in learning more about Norwegian fiddling and dancing but don’t know where to start? Enjoy two days of hardingfele and dance classes presented by outstanding teachers from Norway and North America, all brought into your home via your computer or phone. “Open Hearth” is the HFAA’s Online Winter Workshop, held annually each February, and includes classes, lectures, dance parties, performance opportunities for registrants, and more! Best of all, our event is completely free of charge and open to all upon registration.
Our future Summer Hardanger Fiddle Music and Dance Workshops are scheduled for July 16-19, 2026; July 22-25, 2027; and July 20-23, 2028; all at Folklore Village, Dodgeville, WI.
Our future "Open Hearth” Winter Workshop dates are: Feb 7-8, 2026; Feb 6-7, 2027; Feb 5-6, 2028; Feb 3-4, 2029, all online.

The Hardanger Fiddle Association of America (HFAA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring, strengthening and energizing the Hardanger fiddle music and dance community in North America.
