Built for speed
The cheetahs’ unique body structures allow them to achieve incredible speeds of up to 70 mph (113 km/hr).
A natural rudder
When running, cheetahs use their tails to steer and change direction, like a rudder on a boat.
Shrinking habitat
In the last 100 years, the world has lost 90% of the wild cheetah population. Today, one-third of wild cheetahs live in southern Africa. CCF is working across Africa to save the species throughout its range.
