The Museum will resume its regular hours on Wednesday, January 28. There will be fun activities for children, including crafts, an "I Spy" train activity, and a scavenger hunt. Guests will be able to view the AFT No. 1 in all its glory, but due to inclement weather, guests will not be able to step inside the cab.
Wonderful rail museum with many historic engines, passenger cars, mail car, troop transport, and more. Several models layouts including the Smithsonian collection of models which was amazing. Wonderful presentation on the underground railroad. We will visit again.
"I had no idea camps like this existed! It was truly inclusive, the counselors were accepting, kind and patient. It was incredibly affordable and very well organized. I can't say enough great things about it. I am very grateful!"
The Underground Railroad exhibit particularly made an impression. You can learn about the enslaved people who passed through Mount Clare Station as their last stop before reaching the northern states. Sobering and inspiring stories.
My family had a wonderful time in this museum! It’s the perfect balance of visually appealing and interactive for my boys (ages 5 & 8). We would definitely go again!
This was such an awesome experience! The trains inside were phenomenal and all very well kept. But we went ahead and did the train ride also and that was just icing on the cake! This is a great experience for kids, teens, and adults like myself.
