Bangjun Wang
CS PhD Student at The University of Hong Kong (HKU)
Hi, I am a first-year Ph.D. student at HKU MMLab, co-advised by Prof. Hongyang Li and Prof. Yi Ma. I received my Bachelor's degree with honors from the first session of Guozhi Class (held by Prof. Xiaoou Tang and Prof. Cewu Lu), Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Previously, I was a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California (USC), advised by Prof. Yue Wang, and the National University of Singapore (NUS), advised by Prof. Lin Shao. I also worked with Prof. Hao Dong and Prof. Junchi Yan before during my undergraduate years. My research focuses on Embodied AI, Robotic Manipulation, and Foundation Models. Music
- I have a pretty eclectic taste in music, but my favorites are definitely classical, jazz, blues, and R&B.
- My favorite classical music is from the mid to the late Romantic period. Specifically, I have a passion for the works of Mahler, Rachmaninoff, and Wagner.
- Actually, many items on my life bucket list are related to music, but I prefer not to share them with others until I accomplish them.
Sports
- My favorite sports are tennis and running. I'm the type of player who sticks to using a single backhand.
Art and Design
- I am a big fan of art and design and am always willing to pay for them.
- Recently, I am learning graphical design and digital art systematically in my spare time.
- I love photography and cinematography.
