Nestled in a river valley surrounded by mountains, sits Arrowtown (Kā-Muriwai), a charming gold-mining town established in 1862 that is rich with natural beauty, history and culture.
Built on the banks of the Arrow River (Haehaenui), the town has a strong connection with the outdoors. With an abundance of hiking, biking and running tracks and trails, and golf courses and ski fields nearby, Arrowtown is nature’s sanctuary near the slopes. Come visit and stay a while.
