What We Do
The Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre (ACLRC) undertakes research on contemporary civil liberties and human rights issues that are of concern to Albertans. The projects are diverse - from proposals for reform of human rights legislation, to a report on citizen complaints about police conduct, to a manual for lawyers who represent mentally disabled clients.
... And What We Don't Do.
The Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre (ACLRC) does not offer legal advice. Legal Advice interprets and applies legal rules and laws to a specific case. Legal advice is provided by lawyers. More information on finding a lawyer can be found here.
The ACLRC provides legal information. Legal information provides general, neutral and factual information on the law and legal processes.

RESEARCH AND EDUCATION - NOT ADVOCACY
The ACLRC does not engage in advocacy - neither in individual cases, nor in the form of political lobbying.
