WHO WE ARE

WWOP is not for profit development and humanitarian organization formed in 1995 in Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) with its programming hubs in Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh and KPK.
Our commitment to empower the marginalized and vulnerable women and girls reflects our nature. We work closely with women, girls and communities and engage them to influence those with power and ensure that poor and marginalize women and girls can improve their lives and livlihoods and are empower, dignified and prosperous citizens.

Entering into the third decade of service.

We are even more determined to make sustainable improvements in the lives of the people we serve. At this important juncture of our institutional life, we have decided to be more transparent, participatory and forward looking in approach, in order to reach out to the unreached, soon!

Recent Happening

Amina lives in suburbs area of District Muzaffarabad with her mother and 3 brothers. She was drobbed out from school because of prverty. Her mother was unable to support the education of 4 kids at a time, being a girl she had to suffer. It wasn't until 2015, wehn WWO mobilized her mother through education committees and also supported her through agriculture value chain support program. Amina is now studing in 5th grade.

Recent Happening

Name: Summera--- Living in Village XYZ of District Bagh AJK. She grew up in a mud house with her mother, 2 older brothers and 4 older sisters. Unfortunately, in 2005 his father died in Earth Quake, which only left his mother to feed the family. Like most villagers, Amina (Her mother) was unemployed and would do small scale farming, growing mixed crops to maintain her family. She was dropped out of school and remained at home helping her mother since her family was supported by WWO for livelihood and education of summera. Now she is studing in 8th grade, she wants to become a doctor.

Recent Happening

15 years old Nadia from Rawalkot wants to be a Doctor. Yet she hasn't always had the aspiration to dream to go to school and join the medical world. Coming from a very poor family in Rawalakot. Nadia could not afford to go to school. Her parents used to make money from working for neighbors domestic choruses. With a too litle income, she barely made enough money to put food for the family. This all changed in 20015, when WWO decided to sponsor her through agriculture value chain program. Nadia is delighted and now her dream to become doctor feels real. She is doing so well at school.
