Who is w!tchcAt?
w!tchcAt is an IT witch who started blogging through friendster (https://witchkitty.blogs.friendster.com/). not the usual IT nerd. Loves sports and the outdoors. She has a bad vice of traveling! She loves cats and is addicted to running.
She’s an Australian Athletics Accredited coach.
She travels for business and pleasure, runs for love, and lives for life.
Why Witch? If given a chance, she wanted to be a good white witch, having a cat as her pet.
My runner profile photos taken by my HF runner friend b3n.

Aside from running, w!tchcAt also have a passion of travelling, and doing outdoor activities. She loves reading books for entertainment and information and likes watching movies.
Why do I run?
I run for health. I have been overweight years ago and I lost my confidence in myself, lost self-esteem, i don’t physically feel well. I decided to do something about it, So I did some walking, then jogging then who knows I was running 3-5 kilometers everyday. That was 2007.
I run because it is a therapy, from stress and physical, mental, verbal and emotional abuse from past relationships. Stress from work and life challenges, and with running it makes me feel free away from all of this things and in the end of a run I feel healed, better and relaxed. It does make me happy.
I run for the sense of purpose. I wasn’t an athlete when i was younger, I was fat when I was in my early 20’s and having people see the change of getting into a way of life of running gives you benefits and do make good positive outcome, I like seeing people getting motivated and inspired that I was able and i am able to do it, so can they.
I love the sense of achievement of getting something done, waking up early, getting fit, running races, running with friends and a running club, improvement in speed and skills, learning, failing and improving what has failed, winning in something you never thought you can, the distance you never thought your human body can tackle to run.
2014/9: And I thought I have been keeping myself sane and happy through exercise – and boom another of my lowest (a relationship I wish I never allowed to hurt me), that I did everything to help me, exercise, eat well, meet friends, go to church, meditate, keep myself busy and went to see doctors, kept on medication temporarily for depression – everything but nothing changed me. I was sent to emergency in the hospital, I was assessed and diagnosed to have bi-polar 2. Never ever thought I’d come to this. I feel shamed and scared and indifferent. I was in the hospital for 15 days. And learned a lot of things. I should never feel shamed I can be unwell on my mental health, it can happen to anyone, just like having a headache. I am more accepting with other people… being there changed my life, I have to keep myself well. And so running and yoga and meditation will get me through aside from other things.
Been running for years now, and still am …
Aside from running …
I work on a regular 9-6 weekday job and if “unlucky” job requires me to work nights and on duty 24/7. Did Volunteer work for Woodstock Runners as an editor and Publicity officer and current Uniforms officer and Level 2 coach of the Woodstock Runners.
Only if running and traveling pays, I’d probably choose a job on that field.
I also do other fitness activities aside from running. Like going to the gym, Boxercise, Yoga, and indoor wall climbing.

HI, I just came from a visit to gold coast & sydney. I joined the Sydney striders club tourist trot while i’m there and it was fantastic!! Run thru the CBD, crossed the harbour bridge and passed thru the Opera house, etc.. I wasnt able to take my pictures standing in front of these fabulous sites because my guide was nursing a calf injury and he quit the trot early. It’s nice to know a pinoy runner based in sydney coz I’m certain i will go back and repeat the run.
