About Me
I’m a PhD candidate in Linguistics at McGill University, supported by a doctoral fellowship from the Fonds de recherche du Québec. My research focuses on syntax, semantics, and morphology with interests in fieldwork and language documentation/revitalization . My empirical focus is Iroquoian (Mohawk) with past research on Bantu (Kirundi) and Mam (Mayan). I like long words and exclamativity.
I currently work under the supervision of Alan Bale, Luis Alonso-Ovalle, and Jessica Coon. I’m a member of the Montreal Underdocumented Languages Linguistics Lab, the McGill Syntax-Semantics Group, and the Roti’nikonhrowá:nens group.
Outside of research, I enjoy using skills from my past life as a financial analyst to support community-based language groups with fundraising and project management. I’m an avid fan of crossword puzzles, Québéc French, speculative fiction (see my Goodreads below!), and, of course, karaoke.
