There's "Britain", and there's "outside the pub at the gate of Reading Station at 2am". They're two separate countries; one of which I live in and one of which I wouldn't go to if you paid me.

Comment on The crisis-time media: come on, man; grow up by Farhaa

I have closely monitored the media coverage of this incident back then, in fact my entire family did. And I wouldn’t shy away from saying that everyone in my family found the media coverage extremely immature. Nobody needed a rocket scientist to figure that out!
There are numerous valid points you expressed.
I would like to express a few more. Most of our journalists fail to utilize their body language effectively on air, especially during live coverage. (It was really eerie to see a news anchor smiling while asking questions to his guest on this doleful incident – as if he was happy to ‘have’ a news to talk about !!!).
I am not a journalist! But as a viewer I want a reporter to ‘take charge’ and deliver information, I want him or her to present only factual information, be inquisitive and investigative throughout. And in this comes the role of proper training and guidelines ; I wonder how many of our broadcast journalists are systematically trained to report on crisis , let alone such a sensitive one .
I didn’t find the coverage comprehensive back then; neither a big fan of the coverage aftermath. The question is – did our media outlets learn anything? Can our media act on national and public interest rather than self interest? Can we train our journalists to be more tech and information savvy? ]]>

Nobody should be judge. the creator, the famous poets editors or readers. Its creative process. It should be formless. I dont understand even the question of judgement. Judgement on what metaphor, metre etc or on what grounds.
I think one should express his/her feelings -thats it. someone can say "its nice prose like" on some can instantly give reaction to the poem "love"
the Spirit of Love….is in the air we all breathe.
take a deep breath, smell the essence of musk and roses.
the breath of life.

This is true "love", spontaneous , no recollection in solitude in silence. And "she " is abstract. perhaps personified as abstract Love.

]]>And do people in Asia get upset seeing a white guy with an Asian woman? Depends which part of Asia. I'm married to an Indonesian woman and in her country we have never had any problems. Were I to try the same thing in parts of Pakistan or any of Saudi Arabia, the results might be somewhat different.
