Sugarloaf Mountain
This is my place for writing and reflecting on life here in the mountains. Close to the sky, close to my children and family and most certainly feeling the closeness of God my Savior.

i am starting to wonder
wonderment - please define that for yourself
mostly a positive quality and also universal, we wonder at what we do not know: the cosmos
we wonder at a butterfly wing, or the speed of a falcon, perhaps the blue of a lake
sad times we can wonder, "what went wrong?, what did I do? How can people be like that?
March came in like a lamb and in just a day the lion showed its teeth
I pray today for broken men, lonely boys and families that can not properly connect.

women in my history
real, imaginary... biological and otherwise related
women have profoundly affected my life thus far
thanks MOM for wanting a brown eyed boy, here I am and the eyes that saw so clearly for 64+years have cataracts and through surgeries, new lenses, Yay
Mom was a superb example to me of Faith and works, of Grace and mercy, of being strict, but understanding the boy in me that took so long to grow up.
Heaven (did) help the women I dated in High School and college, I was a fun fool, and a clueless clown. Hope I did not ruin anyone permanently. I may have been ruined, but not by any ONE woman, nor permanently, but every encounter led to
strange dreams, and weird movie
I can't control my dreams
I should control the TV Remote
We watched the movie "Bliss" and it blew my mind
good acting, wandering plot, that I can't fully explain here
-------------------------------------------------------
My mind went back to my darker days , post divorce
when I could NOT get my act together, and people had to step in and help: am I responsible to apologize to them, now, for the costs of my care? for the costs of my negligence, I must make amends with those who were closestd and may have suffered ( silently) as I went through my depressed days and lonely winters.
I only take credit for this, the life I entrusted to God has been lived with trust in Him, and grace from both Him and my family.
Others were with me on my crazy journey and some just watched as I wandered about, not always having anything (nice) to say
To all I owe a debt, and a responsibility to do better, and walk in the wisdom and stability I now have.
to God be all the glory

Sugarloaf Mountain
Where the smell of pines, a distinct nip in the air, the sunset and sunrise displays of color and light fill your soul and set your spirit soaring.
From high atop the mountains, nowhere near the city,
I think, I write, I try to make you laugh.
It is just me, my oxygen deprived brain and my bird and squirrel friends.

- I am a lover of God, and I am a lover of life. My three wonderful children help me be a better man, and I consider fatherhood my most important role. These kids have made my life meaningful and filled with beauty. Nothing compares to them or gets between us. My mom lived 91 years and as youngest I was privileged to make sure she was comfortable and safe in her own home, was never alone, had plenty of friends and family coming around. She knew, before she passed away, how much we kids appreciated all she did for us over the many years. I am the youngest of five. I have ADD and it makes me fun, or irritating, depending on who you ask. Most of all I am real, so this blog has fun aspects and then serious writings, too. You get both, for one click of the mouse.
