24Apr24: Andy’s ‘nipped…

He’s got the blank look of a ‘nip user, and he stayed there like this, immobile for several minutes.

He’s really twitchy now, my next clue.

He moved over to the lapboard and slept it off. Good ‘niip!

=(^+^)=

I couldn’t access the Internet on my laptop yesterday. It looked pretty grim because Spectrum tech support’s Jaimie wasn’t able to come up with a solution. I decided it was a good time to stand away from the problem and come back the next day. I have exactly no idea what I did differently today, but I have WiFi again. I hate computers! And I love them to death.

01Aug20: What’s up, Doug?

20200729_084359

Andy’s curious. Why won’t I let him come around to the other side?

Maybe it’s because he has “Itchy Paws” and all I need to start hyperventilating again is Andy to wipe out what little hard won progress I’ve made on the nightmare configuration issues on my new laptop and photo sharing from my smart phone.

Seems like I resolve one issue and bring up twelve more. I’m not kidding about hyperventilation! ( I hope the person who cuts my beard and hair is operating again soon or I might be tempted to do it myself. >self to myself< “Don’t do it, Doug!”)

Post 1896: The kitty boys are back!

IMG_20181104_071823

We’ve had a grumpy few days, thanks to a laptop giving up the ghost, but my new laptop means the kitty boys and I can return to regular posting.

What’s going to fall apart next? I suspect it’s time for the smart phone to go belly up. I mean, don’t expensive things always fail close to expensive holidays like Christmas? And it’s about the only bit of technology I use that’s left to croak!

28Jan26: no one looks great asleep….

Andy was sleeping in that weird “head-upside-down” position cats do….
…when he switched sides.
Is he watching me?
Well, I’m watching him!
Now that he’s awake…
…he’s giving me the “Feed me!” clue.

=(^+^)=

It’s still miserably cold here, but tolerable enough.

26Jam26: yesterday…

What was Andy’s big deal yesterday?
So he could enjoy the bitter cold scene outside, some of which would seep under the storm door that lets in cold from outside.
…the whiny…
…kitty boy…
…wanted me to open the back door…
…put the walker in front of it so he could enjoy the view.
I’m wrapped up in a heavy shirt, neck scarf, blankets, and a lap pillow to try to keep warm. Sorry Andrew. Hop up on a window sill. You can’t sniff what’s out there, but you can see it.

25Jan26: a pattern here…

Andy finished his wet food, cleaned up, now has a nap to take.
I’m always cold. Here I was yesterday at dialysis: sanity mask (I was sneezing a lot); a hospital blanket over a dialysis hoodie over a winter jacket; the heat function of the dialysis recliner punched to the maximum time. Seriously, are hospitals ever at a comfortable temperature?

24Jan26: Hey!The Greenies are this way!

Andy’s attention is on the guest bedroom.
I wonder what’s in there?
Nothing, one can hope!
Hey, Andy! The Greenies are this way!
Nom! Nom!
I feel a bit better today, but don’t look forward to getting out in the cold to go to dialysis….

23Jan26: sick day…

Andy’s cooling it today because he seems to know…
…I’m not feeling well. I even canceled and rescheduled a doctor’s appointment that I’d waited a long time to get.

22Jan26: slow day…

We got up early…after sleeping around eight hours in the chair. What? It just happened

Too many warm blankets plus a pillow plus a comfortable position, and there you go!

Andy had a little box time, though he was searching for Greenies,I threw into that box a few days ago. (A new tub of Greenies was delivered yesterday and I’d given him some in that area. He reasonably assumed the possibility of Greenies in the box.)
So, he got Greenies in the usual place.
Not looking my best, even after eight hours of great sleep. I guess beauty comes from other sources! Ha!

21Jan27: behind schedule.

Andy woke up late – notice his eye snot!
But he easn’t the only one.
I was all wrapped up in blankets and rested my head on the pillow. I woke up in my chair again with a kitty staring at me. I must try to sleep on my bed again this week!
Yes. Fortunately, it wasn’t a friendly cougar!
Morning, Andy!
“Feed me, please!”

So I did, and he cleaned the plate.

20Jan27: it’s a  mystery…

He’s there…
…but I’ve no idea what he wants.
I just have to follow him. Most times I still have no idea what he wants. Food? No! Attention? No! To look out the front door to see the kitty ghat isn’t there now? Maybe!
Nope!

=(>+<)=

Andy played this game so many times yesterday afternoon that I entually was so worn out that I went to bed around 6 pm, slept till about 4:15 am.

He’s back…
…and he’s incredulous. Last time I wiped off kitty medicine that was on the outside of his ear when I was applying it to the inside of his ear, then he turned his head. Did he thank me? Nooo!
Maybe he got the message: if you need something, make sure it’s something!

19Jan26: Just a routine “lovin'”!

Andy loves having his face rubbed.

“Get the chin, Doug!!”

Whew! That’s a big one for Andy, getting the chin.

I think he’d settle for that every time.

=(^+^)=

Andy’s continuing to improve. His appetite for Greenies is back. I had to order more or risk running out.

His wet food appetite is at piggy level, too! At this point, I am happy he isn’t wasting most of the wet food.

(“I don’t eat crumbs, Doug. Put out the fresh Greenies!”)

A small detail that may exceed your need to know and may be TMI: his litter box proof of a better appetite is bowel movements that are easily five times larger than during his poor eating time. That makes them “normal kitty poop size.”

18Jan26: just up…

Andy looks rough sometimes when he just wakes up. Don’t we all?

=(^+^)=

Crunching the Greenies!
Yum!
Ha! Moving his head during the photo take gave Andy a piggy face, down to a snout!
Done. Now off to window watch at the front door.
