Welcome to your newBrook & Kenny the Wise
A van, a three‑legged shepherd, and a mission to bring light wherever the road leads.
Welcome to our little corner of the internet. I’m Brook — retired National Guard E‑5, full‑time vanlifer, storyteller, and ministry‑minded wanderer. My co‑pilot is Kenny the Wise, a three‑legged German shepherd with the heart of a lion, the curiosity of a toddler, and the spiritual attention span of… well, a dog. Together, we travel the country building community, sharing hope, and finding meaning in the everyday moments most people drive right past.
This blog is where our worlds meet:
- Vanlife stories from the road
- Faith‑rooted reflections told through Kenny’s humorous, easily distracted perspective
- Creative outreach for anyone who needs encouragement, clarity, or a good laugh
- Practical wisdom from a life lived simply, intentionally, and often covered in dog hair
Kenny’s voice shows up often here — not because he talks (he’s humble about that), but because sometimes the clearest truths come from the ones who don’t use words. His stories help us slow down, breathe, and notice the sacred in the ordinary. Mine help connect those moments to Scripture, community, and the bigger journey we’re all on.
Whether you’re here for Torah‑portion reflections, vanlife mishaps, spiritual encouragement, or just to see what Kenny gets into next, we’re glad you found us. Pull up a camp chair, grab a cup of something warm, and stay awhile.
The road is long, but it’s better when we walk it together. site.
