We have an exciting opportunity to join a leader in software development tools as a Sales Engineer. As one of our sales engineers, you will educate customers on how they can proactively remove defects during development by using our Static Analysis tools and lead customers through an evaluation showing them how to improve software quality, security, and reduce the total time/cost required to produce software.
You will…
• develop a complete understanding all the technical aspects of a sales opportunity.
• conduct and manage trial evaluations for prospective customers.
• develop and deliver technical presentations and product demonstration targeted to engineers and engineering management at prospective customers.
• communicate with customers, prospects, partners, and us to aid in the development of new products and features that meet customer needs more effectively.
• provide consistent, proactive, technical leadership and expertise to ensure the success customer deployments.
• measure and maintain customer satisfaction, while driving each account to enterprise-wide adoption.
You will also …
• develop and deliver high-quality product presentations targeting technical audiences
• conduct on-site, trial evaluations at prospective clients to open new accounts
• design, verify and present our integration solutions, including advanced product concepts, advanced integration proposals, future directions, and third party complementary products
• communicate new features and enhancement requests to our Product Marketing and Engineering teams
• travel to new and existing customer sites
• participate and represent us at seminars and trade shows
You need …
• ability to communicate fluently in the French and English languages
• proactive attitude, and a desire to drive to a technical win with new customers
• relationship building skills and the ability to cultivate technical champions within our customer base
• strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• to be a team player with a customer-focused attitude
• 5+ years of technology experience (in software or development tools) as a Sales Engineer, Software Engineer, Development Manager or Project Manager
• to have developed a significant piece of software in C, C++, or Java, ideally with 2+ years of software development experience
• a BS or MS in computer science, engineering, or related field
• strong knowledge of both Unix and Windows platforms
• basic knowledge of build systems (make, ant), source code control systems (ClearCase, Perforce, Subversion), and bug tracking systems (Bugzilla, ClearQuest, JIRA)
• the ability to travel 25-50% in support of sales activities
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
