I’m adding a SAEF to a site someone else developed and I get the above error. EE2.1. Any help much appreciated.

Content > Edit > Channels dropdown menutag:expressionengine.com,2010:forums/viewthread/.1630822010-08-03T12:51:04Zdirksnat
I would love to see a Channel menu pop out from Content > Edit just like it does when you hover Content > Publish.
For the end user, this would be such an effective and intuitive way to easily find the entry that they’re looking to edit. As it is the user has to go through one additional step by clicking on Edit, and then submitting a search based on Channel. Not the end of the world, but certainly not nearly as simple, user-friendly, or time efficient. And since this functionality already exists when hovering over Publish, it seems like it would be an easy addition.
In the meantime, does anyone know of any EE2 add-ons that gives this functionality?

{exp:channel:categories} placing ’nav_categories’ in generated ID and CLASStag:expressionengine.com,2010:forums/viewthread/.1644572010-08-16T13:27:48ZcarvingCode
Checking my markup today, I noticed that EE2.1 build 20100810 is placing ‘nav_categories’ as default values in both the ID and CLASS selectors of the UL tag it generates.
I was able to stop this by explicitly setting the ID and CLASS within the tag. (Had to set the value to a space (’ ‘) to do this.)

Switched DNS and now can’t login to CPtag:expressionengine.com,2010:forums/viewthread/.1629652010-08-02T13:32:35Zjtree
I just switched the DNS for a domain so it’s pointing at the new host with EE. I now can’t login to the CP. When I type in my login info it just re-directs me back to the CP login screen again. I didn’t have this issue before I changed the DNS. Thanks!

Pagination method 1 doesn’t work when year and month are in the URLtag:expressionengine.com,2010:forums/viewthread/.1645062010-08-16T20:20:48Zapplicode
There appears to be a bug with pagination. When using Method 1 from the user guide it does not create the correct page links when paginating channel entries if the year and month are in the url.
The first part of the pagination output is correct (Page 1 of 2 pages) but the second part is incorrect. Even though you are on page 1, the pagination indicates you are on page 2 (no hyperlink). The “<” and “1” are both hyperlinked to page 1.
Pagination (Method 1) works perfectly when removing the Year/Month from the URL
Method 1 from User Guide (does NOT work):
{paginate} <p>Page {current_page} of {total_pages} pages {pagination_links}</p> {/paginate}
I am using EE 2.1 Build 20100810
Not sure if this is related to bug 13106 (Resolved).
If using Method 2, the previous and next links work perfectly.

EE 2.1 HIPAA compliance?tag:expressionengine.com,2010:forums/viewthread/.1643162010-08-14T19:21:58Zjames Brown
Do you know if Expression Engine 2.1 is in compliance with HIPAA security requirements? We would like to use Expression Engine for a project that would be dealing with patient health information, and so anything we use must be HIPAA compliant. I know of course we would have to put everything behind https, but is the system itself HIPAA compliant?

Allow the ‘Title’ field to be renamed when not relevant as titletag:expressionengine.com,2010:forums/viewthread/.1646582010-08-17T21:01:53ZCalan
While almost all channels require the unique title field, the forced naming convention of ‘title’ on the edit screen can be very confusing.
When configuring a site, I create a channel for each content-type required, meaning certain channels hold items such as staff profiles, calls-to-actions, testimonials, etc.
When the channel is a directory of team members, I use the ‘title’ for the persons name as it needs to be unique. Now explain to a client why it’s called ‘title’ and yet they should enter the persons name. In addition to this, it doesn’t allow the explanatory text that all custom fields allow. Then, when you do need to request the person’s title ie. Mr/Miss etc, it gets even messier.
I can provide a ton of examples where the content-type requires the unique field, but the forced naming convention in the UI is confusing to a content editor. All that’s required is the ability to change it’s superficial name to whatever suits the particular channel the best.
Rgds,
Calan

Google Adwords query string breaking my pagestag:expressionengine.com,2010:forums/viewthread/.1642022010-08-13T10:42:00ZIC360
We have set up landing pages for Google Adword campaigns, like this: https://www.autosafe.org/index.php/adwords/clutch-replacement
As you can see, that page doesn’t load anymore, and defaults to the site homepage content.
How can we work around this?

combining data from 2 fields - EE 1.6.9tag:expressionengine.com,2010:forums/viewthread/.1645372010-08-17T02:50:51Zbmackler
Hi
Working on a site in which I need to combine data from two fields in the output on the page. or maybe someone has a better way? Im trying to automate a way for my client to insert an image and have it pop up in a lightbox. In one field you upload the smaller image with the additional “</a>” at the end and then in the other custom field you would enter the linked larger image with the rel=“lightbox” at the end to make the lightbox work.
How can I do that and combine the two fields? or is there an easier way so we dont have to go thru so many steps?
