The Java Application Verification Kit (AVK) for the Enterprise is available to help you test your application for correct use of Java EE/J2EE APIs and to maintain portability across Java EE/J2EE compatible application servers.
This release of the Java AVK for the Enterprise contains the following new features:
Support for Java EE 5. Under Java EE 5, we support EJB 3.0, Java Persistence, Java Servlet 2.5, Web Services 1.2, JSF 1.2, etc.
Comes bundled with Sun Java System Application Server PE 9, which is an implementation of the Java EE 5 specification.
Improved usability:
Capability to verify individual applications. Previously, all the deployed applications were verified.
No need to stop the Application Server to generate verification results. Previously, it was not possible to generate the report without stopping the Application Server.
Additional command line tools for ease of use
Archiving - On-the-fly storage of verification results, thus ensuring no loss of results even if the Application Server crashes.
Integration with latest version of the Application Server Migration Tool 2.0, which helps in migrating Java EE applications from other Java EE platforms to Sun Java System Application Server PE 9.
Several bug fixes, including critical installer issues, have been addressed in this release.
The download size has been reduced by approximately 6 MB.
