samhain 2.6.1
samhain is a daemon that can check file integrity, search the file tree for SUID files, and detect kernel module rootkits (Linux only). It can be used either standalone or as a client/server system for centralized monitoring, with strong (192-bit AES) encryption for client/server connections and the option to store databases and configuration files on the server. For tamper resistance, it supports signed database/configuration files and signed reports/audit logs. It has been tested on Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Unixware.
Changes: On Linux, login/logout tracking now uses inotify. Log file monitoring has been enhanced to support checking for missing heartbeat messages, reporting bursts of repeated messages, and checking for correlated events. UID/GID caching has been improved to reduce the number of lookups, and a compile problem on Cygwin has been fixed.

python-bitstring 1.1.3
The bitstring module helps to make the creation and analysis of binary data in Python as simple and natural as possible. BitString objects can be constructed from integers (big and little endian), floats, hex, octal, binary, strings, or files. They can be sliced, joined, reversed, inserted into, overwritten, etc. with simple functions or slice notation. They can also be read from, searched, and navigated in, similar to a file or stream. Internally the data is efficiently stored as byte arrays, the module has been optimized for speed, and (almost) 100% code coverage is given by over 300 unit tests. It is available for Python 2.4 and later (including Python 3).
Changes: This release has a fix for an installation problem when installing from source on platforms with case-sensitive file systems. There are no new features or other bugfixes. This version is for Python 2.6 and 3.x only.

Sawfish (the window manager formerly known as Sawmill) is an extensible window manager using a Lisp-based extension language. All window decorations are configurable and all user-interface policy is controlled through the language. Its aim is to manage windows in the most flexible and attractive manner possible. As such it does not implement desktop backgrounds, application docks, or other things that may be achieved through separate applications. Sawfish is mostly GNOME-compliant; almost all configuration may be made through a graphical interface.
Changes: Windows are restored on the correct Viewport. This release prevents crashing of sawfish under heavy load and fast window destruction. It prevents window crashing (at least the part where sawfish is at fault). Thanks to librep 0.90.2+, all UTF-8 issues are gone. Thanks to rep-gtk 0.90.0+, SawfishConfig (ex SawfishUI) has begun to refresh and un-deprecate. There is a set of new window-matchers and an improved window-matching architecture.

The massXpert software package is a mass spectrometry environment for linear (bio-)polymers. It inherits all the innovations of GNU polyxmass. It allows the detailed definition of new polymer chemistries in the XpertDef module. These chemistry definitions are then used in the desktop calculator-like mass calculator (XpertCalc) and in the sophisticated polymer sequence editor and (bio-)chemical/mass spectrometric simulations module (XpertEdit). Available simulations include polymer and monomer chemical modifications, polymer sequence cleavage, gas-phase fragmentation, m/z ratio calculations, and more.
Changes: This release fixes one bug within the formula validation code that could crash the program when an invalid formula is used. It shows the currently selected regions in the sequence editor window. It fixes some memory leaks and code cleanup.

It also supports creating policy groups to fit the needs of different users.
Changes: MySQL schema optimizations were made. Zombie handling is done via the XFORWARD feature and the TRE library. Locale fixes were made. A postconf-like utility, clapfconf, was added. A counter was added to the "delays=" to show how much time clapf needs to acquire a message from postfix. Training is possible without actually storing the original email. The maillog.pl utility was enhanced to be able to handle mysql databases as well. Possible spam can be identified with both a "[spam???]" prefix in the Subject: line, and with an extra header line.

Automated Testing Framework 0.7
ATF is a collection of libraries and utilities designed to ease unattended application testing in the hands of developers and end users of a specific piece of software. Tests can currently be written in C/C++ or POSIX shell and, contrary to other testing frameworks, ATF tests are installed into the system alongside any other application files. This allows the end user to easily verify that the software behaves correctly on her system. Furthermore, the results of the test suites can be collected into nicely-formatted reports to simplify their visualization and analysis.
Changes: Support for build-time tests (a.k.a. running the compiler) was added to the C and C++ bindings. The code was refactored to provide a better interface for child-process management, which helps the change above. All the distribution-specific documents were converted to XML to allow the generation of online versions. Many other internal cleanups and fixes were made.

It includes an advanced key management facility and is compliant with the proposed OpenPGP Internet standard as described in RFC2440. As such, it is meant to be compatible with PGP from NAI, Inc. Because it does not use any patented algorithms, it can be used without any restrictions.
Changes: The default for "--include-cert" is now to include all certificates in the chain except for the root certificate. Numerical values may now be used as an alternative to the debug-level keywords. The GPGSM "--audit-log" feature is now more complete. A new GPGSM option "--ignore-cert-extension" was added. New and changed passphrases are now created with an iteration count requiring about 100ms of CPU work.
