We are a tiny company focused on writing web applications using CakePHP and jQuery.

Debuggable is a dual-core engine, powered by Tim Koschützki and Felix Geisendörfer.

Our code is a reflection of our passion for programming. We take great pride in developing re-usable, maintainable and elegant systems that stand the test of time.

Using great technologies

We keep up with the latest developments in the world of software, while maintaining our focus. Our core strength is writing web applications on top of the CakePHP framework. However we are also working with: node.js, Ruby on Rails, CouchDB, the iPhone SDK, and we have quite some expertise with jQuery and JavaScript.

A micro international company

We are located in Berlin, but our clients come from all over the world. So far we worked with companies in: Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland and the United States.

No matter where you are located, we are great at making remote projects work, and would love to add more countries to our list.

Embracing change

Writing good software is very much like raising a child. You won't know what your baby is going to look like when it has grown up. But you can give direction, guidance and set good examples from day 1.

We use agile practices to create playful software everybody likes.

With a ♡ for open source

About 10% of our time is spent on open source. In the past we were core contributors of the CakePHP framework, and also released many components / plugins for it. These days we are very involved with node.js, the non-blocking JavaScript server runtime.

We do not require our clients to open source, but many of them have decided to let us contribute bits & pieces from their projects to the community.

Our rates are fair

Full disclosure here. Most tiny companies won't tell you this, but their rates hugely vary. We have worked from anywhere between 40 EUR to 150 EUR / hour in the past. This is because there are many factors deciding what makes a project interesting to us and different clients work with different budgets.

In general, we offer our services for:

• 1-10 hours: 90 EUR / hour
• 10-40 hours: 72 EUR / hour
• 40+ hours: 60 EUR / hour

When working for big corporations, we try to negotiate more. But if your startup is doing something very cool, we might as well join the fun for less. So when negotiating with us, be honest about your budget, and we will figure out how to get the most out of it for you.

Sometimes we also agree to do fixed-price projects, but very few projects fit this category.
