I joined yesterday and not only lost tweets but I started to follow 11 people I know but only one of them shows up in my profile.

I'm following 30+ people, I see their tweets on my homepage, and they're on my following list, but the only one that shows up on my profile sidebar is @pitchforkmedia. If it helps at all, @pitchforkmedia was the only account that I selected to follow during that part of the setup process. Their icon showed up on my profile right away, but none of the accounts that I've chosen to follow since have.

I noticed this immediately after joining last Wednesday. I'm using Firefox 3.08 on Mac OS X. Thanks for looking into this!

• I followed @storminspank, @SeanKeeler, @marcmorehouse, @ScottDochterman and @1TrueLeviathan and I see their tweets on my home page, but none of their pictures appear in my profile sidebar, but all of them appear in my following list.  I'm on Windows, Firefox, and I noticed it happening right after I joined Twitter last week.

I joined yesterday and the only person who's picture is showing up in my profile sidebar is the original person who invited me to join Twitter. The other 4 people I'm following haven't showed up yet.

I am currently following 26 people, but I only show 4 people on my profile under "Following".  I use Firefox on Mac OS X 10.5.6.  Thank you!

I joined Twitter a few days ago. I am currently following 18 people, but only two of them are showing up in my profile. However, all 18 images show up when I'm on my home page. I tried deleting the 16 that aren't showing up and readded them, but nothing changed. The same 16 are still missing on my profile page.

Here's the 16 that are missing: @cnnbrk, @cnn, @cnni, @bbcbreaking, @nprpolitics, @politicalticker, @cnn_newsroom, @andersoncooper, @ricksanchezcnn, @donlemoncnn, @edhenrycnn, @williegeist1, @cnnobservations, @dumbnews, @davidgregory, and @danielabrams

I followed most of these people a couple of days ago. The two that are working are the ones I added first - I think four days ago. I'm on IE, Windows XP. Thank you for the help! :)

Hi, I joined twiitter a few days ago and the details on my public profile don't reflect my private profile - particulary @clairemims and @RichardShea. My public profile sidebar also appears locked. Running Firefox and Safari on OSX

I followed @hypnotistchris and I see his tweets in my home page, but his picture does not appear in my profile sidebar, but he does appear in my following list.

I unfollowed @Artmaker and @algore and I don't see their tweets in my home page nor are they listed in my following list, but their pictures still appear in my profile sidebar.

I'm on IE, Windows XP and I have noticed this since Saturday.

I joined Twitter yesterday. There are 17 people shown on my following list and all 17 avatars show up on my home page, but only 2 avatars show up on my profile page.

joined saturday, all the added following people are not showing on profile page. just one shows, this has yet to fix itself.

I joined last week and cannot unfollow @WGAL, @theaudubonsociety, @weather.com - they are still shown on my Profile page, but not my Home page - none of my "following" are shown on my Profile page, only on my Home page

I joined yesterday and am following nine people, all nine show up on my home page- the page I can see when I log in- but only one person shows on my profile page. What you've written applies to me, but I am confused as to what I should do ... do I simply wait it out?

I get 2 pictures on the profile sidebar from people I'm following but I've followed another 13 people (@poebunny, @BestCuppa, @sccevents, @Greenfield_Stu, @Time, @Guardiantech, @DowningStreet, @biz, @sciencemuseum, @pg_wodehouse, @JustinPollard, @stephenfry, @qikipedia) - I see the tweets on my home page, but none of their pictures appear in my profile sidebar, although all of them appear in my following list. I'm on Firefox 3.0.8, Ubuntu 8.10.

i have a locked account and people are being added without my accepting them. it has happened twice.

I joined recently - on my profile page it only shows three icons of the 23 people I'm following, although it all looks correct on the 'home' page. That, and all but one of my tweets are gone.

I joined recently as well and the only people who are showing on my profile are the person who invited and "twitter" that I added when i first created my profile. Anyone else who has added me only shows on the homepage, but not in the sidebar on my profile. I'm using firefox on my mac.

I followed @RealHughJackman and I see his tweets in my home page. His picture doesn't appear in my profile sidebar, but he does appear in my following list.

I un-followed @TheEllenShow and I don't see her tweets in my homepage anymore. Her picture still appears in my profile sidebase. She is not in my following list.

I got the same problem.

I follow @engreen, @bergtatt, @D_Attenborough, @WWFNorge and @ulkemsafak and just @bergtatt and @ulkemsafak are showing up on my profile. I registered a few days ago.

I have also unfollowed some people and they still show up on my profile.

I also have the problem that people that are following me dosnt show up on my "followers" page.

I joined a few days ago and only 1 person shows up on  the 'following' side bar. Today my updates from my profile page have also gone.

I can only see one person as well on my sidebar. The other 10 i cant see.

I use Windows Vista.

I'm following 10 people as of right now, but only 2 of their profile pictures show up in the "following" section of my sidebar.  Though it does say I'm following 10 people at the top of the sidebar

I started a new profile for my website, and accidentally followed @Wired thinking I was logged into my personal account when I was actually logged into my new website account. I un-followed @Wired with my website's account, logged out, logged back into my personal account and followed @Wired.

I've since followed about a dozen relevant Twitter users from my new account, but my profile's sidebar is still only showing @Wired.

Firefox 3 on XP.
