Writing scalable server applications in the Java™ programming language has
always been difficult. Before the advent of the Java New I/O API (NIO), thread
management issues made it impossible for a server to scale to thousands of
users. The Grizzly framework has been designed to help developers to take
advantage of the Java™ NIO API. Originally developed under the GlassFish umbrella, the framework
is now available as a standalone project. Grizzly goals is to help developers
to build scalable and robust servers using NIO.
Grizzly 1.5.x binaries and sources are available here. If you are using Maven 2.0, you can download them by following the instruction described here.
Grizzly 1.0.x binaries are available here
We are using Maven 2 and SVN. To checkout the workspace just do svn checkout https://www.dev.java.net/svn/grizzly.
Grizzly is part of the GlassFish community.
