java.net Partnership Levels
There are multiple partnership levels available in the java.net Partner Network. Since java.net is
intended to be run as a meritocracy, each level represents different degrees of involvement and contribution.
As your contribution increases, so does your level along with the benefits and exposure on java.net. There
are 5 Partnership levels:

java.net Basic Partnership
Membership Fee: Free
Theme: Bi-directional linking.
REQUIREMENTS: All java.net Partners will place the
"java.net Partner" button on their website.
BENEFITS: All java.net Partners will benefit from exposure to the ever growing membership and visitors of
java.net and will be listed in our java.net Partner directory,
along with a short description and a link to their site.

java.net Bronze Partnership
Membership Fee: Free
Theme: Bi-directional content sharing and syndication.
REQUIREMENTS:If your organization has a linked project listed in the java.net project directory,
you qualify as a Bronze Partner. In addition to the Basic Partnership requirement, a Bronze Partner will:
- Submit a linked project - If you currently have any Open Source projects that are
relevant to the Java language or platform you can add them to the java.net Directory
by submitting their URL here.
- Actively participate in the cross promotion of content between their web properties
and java.net. All content needs to be relevant to the Java language or platform. Partners
will receive the most benefit and exposure by submitting content from 3 or more of the
following categories on an ongoing basis:

Any New that you have that is relevant to Java developers can be submitted online

Original Articles can be submitted online here. |
| Weblogs |
You can syndicate any of your employee weblogs that are relevant to the Java language or platform in two ways:
- You can provide a link to a specific blog entry to our editor.
- You can submit an RSS feed for the blog to java.net.
java.net can provide java.net blog accounts to qualified technical thought leaders in your company. |
| RSS Feeds |
Any RSS feeds that you have should be tagged so that java.net can filter content that is relevant
to Java developers. You can submit your RSS Feeds online
here. |
| Forums |
If there is an interesting Forum discussion thread on your site that is relevant to Java Developers,
you can notify the java.net Editor to get it highlighted on java.net. You can also contribute to
java.net forums directly. |
| Events |
If your organization is sponsoring, hosting, or participating in a Java related event, you can
submit your listing online here. |
BENEFITS: All java.net Bronze Partners are eligible for the following benefits:
- Access to all of the member benefits*, including:
- java.net RSS Feeds
- java.net News and Articles
- java.net Weblogs
- java.net Forums
- java.net Javapedia
- java.net Project Help Wanted and People Wiki pages
- java.net Projects
- Membership into the java.net Partner Community.
- List your Open Source Java projects in the java.net Directory.
- Project Spotlight eligibility.
- Eligible for java.net Blog accounts for your technical thought leaders.
* - Member benefits are things that are already available to all members for free. They are not associated with any
partnership level and are listed as a reminder since membership is implied in order to contribute content.

java.net Silver Partnership
Membership Fee: Free
Theme: Host a java.net project.
REQUIREMENTS: If your organization hosts a project on java.net, you qualify as a Silver Partner. In addition
to the Basic Partnership requirement, a Silver Partner will:

If you are planning on releasing any Java code, samples, or API into the public domain, you can host the project
on java.net to achieve Silver status. Follow the instructions to
request a project. |
| Identify a project owner |
All java.net project require a project owner. This person(s) is named by the company that is starting the project
and supplying the source code. |
BENEFITS: All java.net Silver Partners are eligible for the following benefits:
- All of the benefits associated with a java.net Bronze Partnership.
- java.net project space with all applicable tools**.
- Access to java.net expertise in running a successful project.
- Site Support, tools, metric.
- Eligibility for fee-based private projects.
- Priority in the partner directory.
** - Public projects on java.net are already free to all registered members. Project tools are available as part
of regular membership and not a benefit associated with a specific Partnership level.

java.net Gold Partnership
Membership Fee: $50,000 per year.
Theme: Run a java.net Partner Page.
REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the Silver Partnership requirements, a Gold Partner will:

This is a page hosted on java.net that is individualized to your company and includes your logo. You decide what
content to put on your Partner page as long as it is within the guidelines of our Guiding Principals and Governance.. |
| Identify Partner Delegates |
All Gold Partners will need to name an individual to act as the owner for their Partner Page. It is recommended
that you name a primary and a backup. |
java.net Gold Service Partnership
Membership Fee: Free.
Theme: Run a java.net Partner Page.
REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the requirements specific to a Gold Partner, a Gold Service Partner will:
| Provide a service to java.net |
The service provided should enhance the look and feel, or the usability, or the core functionality,
or provide some other service that helps java.net meet its mission of initiating interesting conversations and
innovative development projects related to Java technology.
java.net will not be charged any fee for this service.
Any offered service must meet the written approval of the java.net Community Manager. |
BENEFITS: All java.net Gold Partners and java.net Gold Service Partners are eligible for the following benefits:
- All of the benefits associated with a java.net Silver Partnership.
- An optional individualized Partner page w/listing on Partner Community Page .
- Eligibility to be elected to java.net Management Board.
- High Priority in the partner directory and partner project directory.

java.net Platinum Partnership
Membership Fee: $120,000 per year.
Theme: Run a java.net Partner Domain.
REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the Gold Partnership requirements, a Platinum Partner will:

- All of the benefits associated with a java.net Gold Partnership.
- A distinctive java.net URL [ i.e. Company.java.net ] for your Partner Page
- A seat on the java.net Partnership Board
- java.net Advisory Board nomination rights
- A Partner Wiki page.
- Online Web Chats
- Highest priority in partner directory
