Directory Layout

This plugin introduces a conventionalized directory structure for storing your media files below the webroot.

  - webroot
        - media <<< MEDIA
      - filter
      - static
        - css
        - doc
        - gen
        - ico
        - img
        - js
      - transfer

The static directory and all it’s content must be readable by the effective user. The filter and the transfer directory must be read/writable by the effective user.

It’s recommended to use this structure in combination with this plugin. All components of this plugin are already setup to use it. Please see the FAQ for another justification.

To migrate your media files move (or copy them first) like this:

  webroot/js/*          >>> webroot/media/static/js/
  webroot/css/*         >>> webroot/media/static/css/
  webroot/img/*         >>> webroot/media/static/img/ 
  webroot/vendors/js/*  >>> webroot/media/static/js/
  webroot/vendors/css/* >>> webroot/media/static/css/
  webroot/vendors/img/* >>> webroot/media/static/img/
