jWidget - Java WidgetSystem
The goal of jWidget is to provide a WidgetSystem in Java (similar to Yahoo Widget).

Description
jWidget is a Java and JavaScript based WidgetSystem.
Widgets are small addons to serve a purpose. Everybody who knows Yahoo Widget, knows what I'm talking about. Because Yahoo Widget only runs on Windows™ and Mac, I've started this project. The advantage of jWidget is, that it runs an any system where java is supported. The widgets can be used on any supported platform.
There are only a view widgets available at the moment. But everybody is invited to create custom widgets and to send them to me, so I can publish them on this site. A description how to create custom widgets will comeing soon.

| June 12th, 2007 | The work for supporting none-rectangular windows has started. In the next release it will be possible to create e.g round widget windows. Release 0.4_beta will come in one or two weeks. |

Installation
- Download and install Java (min. 6.0)
- Download and install jWidget
- double-click jWidget*.jar or java -jar jWidget*.jar to start installer. (jWidget*.jar means the downloaded version)
- Download widgets from jWidget-Repository
- Windows user: start.bat
