Summary AgentJ - desktop agents framework Categories None License Lesser General Public License (LGPL) Owner(s) dkavanagh Message from the owner(s) I'm looking for people interested in discussing some design issues. To that end, please look at the forum I've setup for this project. Feel free to join in! Description The idea is that an agent framework can be provided that adds task scheduling and desktop integration on top of normal JDK APIs. This project is about developing that and some useful agents. What I'm proposing would be much simpler than what is defined in JSR-87 (Java Agent Services). I see being able to write agents to so tasks like; check stock prices at specified times of the day order tickets for a show at the time they go on sale remind you to get up an stretch scan RSS feeds for you alert you when a new software version is available for download (and maybe download if for you) I can see a bunch of time related tasks that can be scheduled. I envision web sites offering agents that will interact with their web services.
