The projects in the Core Game Technologies
section are those projects providing low-level access
to essential (usually hardware supported) game technologies.
These currently include 3D Graphics, 3D Sound, and
polled input, and may later include support for basic
networking.

of the individual projects.
Getting Started
Before joining a project or creating a new
project under, please review our
Governance Guidelines. These guidelines are intended
to ensure that the games area on java.net is run in
a fair and open manner.
If you'd like to get involved in any
of the games-core projects as a developer, please download,
sign and either fax or mail the following contributor
agreement. This agreement is necessary for anyone
wishing to contribute to any game technology project
sponsored by Sun Microsystems. The agreement is to that
any person contributing code to a project has the legal
right to do so. We cannot approve Developer status for
anyone until we have their agreement on file. You may
still join any of these projects as an observer, and
are free to download and modify the code as you see
fit, within the confines of the license agreement included
in the source.
