In the same dialog, it is also important to check the option “Use LibreOffice dialogs”.
It is disabled by default, at least on Ubuntu 2012.04.
Keep up the great work!

Comment on Media Viewers 2.5 Released! by George

I had it working in an earlier 4.1.x release, but after trying with the new 4.2.0 Enterprise release, it doesn’t work.
The PDF.js viewer frame is displayed on the document details page, but the document doesn’t get loaded into it.
It’s a fresh install of the 4.2 software. I’ve added the jar file and then enabled it via the module deployment page.
Is this a known problem, or am I doing something wrong? ]]>

When I used Media Viewers 2.5.1 on Windows Server 2012, I tried to view text and excel files which contained Japanese characters.
Japanese characters on the files were corrupted and cannot be read.
Are there ways to solve this problem?

Please could you file a bug for this, so the developers can look at it? Development has now moved to GitHub, you can find the project page at https://github.com/share-extras/media-viewers
]]>I am not aware of any such problems. Do you get the same issue with the native Alfresco (Flash) previews?
Development of the add-on has now moved to GitHub, so if you would like us to look at this further please file a bug report there – https://github.com/share-extras/media-viewers

Thanks for reporting that, Fred. I’ve reverted one of the recent changes I made which broke compatibility with 4.2.c. You should see that it works as expected now.
