United Vision for Idaho (UVI) is a statewide, multi-issue progressive network committed to building a powerful, people-driven movement for lasting, structural change. Since 1997, we’ve been uniting communities—rural, suburban, and urban—through shared purpose, collective action, and a vision for a more just and democratic future.
A strategic force in the national pro-democracy movement, we’re not just defending democracy—we’re transforming it into something more inclusive, resilient, and rooted in the power of everyday people.
At UVI, we believe that lasting progress doesn’t come from single-issue efforts or short-term wins. It comes from investing in people and movements that grow from the ground up—especially in rural places like Idaho, where communities are too often left out of the national conversation. That’s why we focus on building the infrastructure, relationships, and leadership needed to drive real transformation—locally and nationally.
Our mission is guided by a simple but profound truth: we all do better when we all do better. We are organizing to reclaim our voice, protect our freedoms, and ensure that democracy works for everyone—not just the privileged few. Idaho is not on the sidelines of this fight—it’s at the center of an emerging, people-powered pro-democracy movement.
We know what we’re up against: concentrated power, extremist forces, and systems designed to divide and disempower. But we also know our collective strength. At UVI, we’re creating space for people to come together, share power, and shape the future—together.

We're organizing thousands of people around a bold agenda for real change. Our agenda isn't a list of policies the establishment says we can win. It reflects what our communities must win.
UVI works to build the infrastructure and relationships needed to champion our greatest collective struggles, centering real people in the social justice movement driven by masses of real people who demand better and are dedicated to community guided by the principle that we all do better when we all do better!
No matter where we come from, what we look like, or what we’ve been through—our futures are bound together. In a time of deep division, we have a responsibility to mend what’s broken, heal our collective wounds, and build a world where all of us can thrive. That work must be rooted in community and democratic values and driven by honest, courageous people willing to step into the breach across our differences and borders to build a people's movement that holds all parties to account and advances our promise of building a more inclusive, equitable and fair world for all of us.
We owe it to ourselves—and to future generations—to rise to this moment.
At our core, we’re all human beings. This is a time to stand with and for one another, not just despite our differences, but because of them. We must resist anything—and anyone—that seeks to divide us or diminish our collective future.

It is more important than ever before that individuals are taking part in the story of how we are navigating these moments, showing up and standing up to determine the future that is still being written.
When activists and leaders of the pro-democracy movement say, "Join the Movement" what does that mean. This documentary is both a rare inside look at the pro-democracy movement and a story that cannot be told without millions of regular people taking action in all the small and big ways that we are. It is essential for people to see themselves in the story, to find inspiration and courage from one another and this is a unique opportunity to contribute to telling it.

Together we are creating space for people to see themselves as essential to the future of democracy—and, by extension, to the conditions that shape health, safety, and wellbeing in their communities.
Since late 2022, UVI has partnered with OMGFemaleFilmmakers to document a growing pro-democracy movement through a participatory documentary series. The project invites people across the country to contribute their own stories, footage, and everyday acts of resistance and renewal—recognizing that collective wellbeing depends on whether people feel seen, included, and empowered to act.
This effort is both a reflection of what’s happening and a call to action to share your stories to help build a people-powered narrative that honors courage, creativity, and care in a story that is unfolding and a future and history that is being written one conversation, one act and one action at a time.
