Had an absolute blast at Wincon in Denver this weekend! Thanks for everyone for making it such a great con! Met a lot of really cool people that I look forward to talking to again and hopefully seeing again next year!
Now I'm sitting by the pool (back in LA) on the internet killing time waiting for my friends to get in. Not even close to being warm enough for a swim, like I was hoping! That would have been a nice change from the snowy, freezing Denver :P The creepy crow lady is here again, seriously she looks like a crow and is kinda stalkerish. I'm a little scared.
33 hours until my plane leaves to take me back home! It's been a great trip but I think I'll be glad to get back home...

Dear Cosplayers: If you are thinking about/planning/wanting to do a Super Smash Bros Brawl character Cosplay for Waicon in January, PLEASE TELL ME. I know it's still "early" but we should start thinking about it. I know people don't really want to make all of their plans public yet (I don't really either) so I am screening comments on this post.
So far, I know of people that are doing: Snake, Marth, Zero-suit Samus, (Link and Ike).
So far, I know that these costumes are planned, but I don't know who by: Pit, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Samus.
There are LOTS of characters left and we're allowed doubleups if they're different colourschemes, but until we go closer to filling the roster, let's try to not do doubles. If you are interested, please comment here saying what character you were wanting to do, or that you don't have a character yet, or whatever!

I've come to the realisation that I don't have many photos of me or my friends, which is funny considering I Like Cosplaying. I'm going to make an effort to get more photos with friends in the future -- yeah it's been a busy weekend. Swancon was really good fun and we're definitely going next year. -- Really won't be at uni today for other reasons, but it does mean I'm missing out on the UCC AGM. Unfortunate but acceptable. -- UniSFA AGM on Friday and I'm looking forward to it. At this stage, I'm wanting to run for President again but that could change over the next few days. Don't forget that proxies must be in before THURSDAY at 1pm! Given to me in person over Wed/Thurs is fine as well as emailed (from the account used to sign up for your UniSFA membership - sorry 'bout that Jimbo Jones)

VACATIONS During the University vacations YELLOW student permit areas are available for parking to non parking permit holders and student yellow permit holders. Red staff permit areas are reserved throughout the year for staff red permit holders. The vacation dates for 2006 - 2007 are: 20 November 2006 - 25 February 2007 25 June 2007 - 22 July 2007 19 November 2007 - 2 March 2008 -- I don't have a yellow permit so this is good news! however it'll probably be filled by losers parking there before going into the city.
Hey cosplayers, let's talk Wigs. Both k_chan009 and cielrose have contacted me/vixen_ixy about doing a wig order from Cyperous which velithya and I would both like a Reno wig.
However, vixen_ixy doesn't have a reasonable wig there and wants to order one from Amphigory and ilumiari picked out a wig from there too.
Now, I'm just wondering who else wants to get in on this bulk order - if we're going to have them ready in time for Wai-con, we're going to have to order them pretty soon... I'm not saying that *I'm* going to do the order, but we should all do it together to save on postage. It REALLY won't make much difference when we've got a million people splitting the shipping bill and with the dollar so good at the moment...
Also, I've got another wig I need to find, hmm.

So, things can certainly turn around VERY quickly. Since Monday, things have been SO MUCH better and I'm close to saying that this has been the best week *ever*.

Due to ( a series of unfortunate eventsCollapse ) The only way to contact me is by my mobile - 0415 41 9876 - for an undetermined amount of time. Sure, I'll be checking email but not at the same frequency I would if I had a working laptop. I'll answer my phone 99% of the time so it's *always* the best way to contact me if you want something urgent or even just to talk.
So E3 was this weekend and I didn't know ANYTHING about it. I've just been reading some articles about it and :O
