Our Mission
Our mission is to write quality humor, and satire articles that parody Wikipedia. We use a wiki format to achieve this. Sometimes we even write parodies OF parodies.
Privacy Policy
Because we believe that you shouldn’t have to provide personal information to participate in the free humor writing projects you may:
- Read, edit, or use any Uncyclopedia Site without registering an account.
- Register for an account without using your real name. You can also use a fake email address to sign up, but if you do, you will be unable to retrieve a forgotten password.
Because we want to understand how Wikimedia Sites are used so we can make them better for you, we collect some information when you:
- Make public contributions.
- Register an account or update your user page.
- Use the Uncyclopedia Sites.
- Send us emails or give feedback.
We are committed to:
- Describing how your information may be used or shared in this Privacy Policy.
- Using reasonable measures to keep your information secure.
- Never selling your information or sharing it with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Only sharing your information in limited circumstances, such as to improve the site, to comply with the law, or to protect you and others.
- Retaining your data for the shortest possible time that is consistent with maintaining, understanding, and improving the Uncyclopedia Sites, and our obligations under law.
Be aware:
- Any content you add or any change that you make to a Uncyclopedia Site will be publicly and permanently available. If you wish to remove your content, please make a list of the specific contributions or pages authored by you, that you wish to remove, including the date, time, and username, and submit it to an admin. Content created when not logged into an account cannot be permanently removed. The number of contributions that can be removed in this manner is limited to 50.
- If you add content or make a change to an Uncyclopedia Site without logging in, that content or change will be publicly and permanently attributed to the IP address used at the time rather than a username.
- Our community of volunteer editors and contributors is a self-policing body. Certain administrators of the Wikimedia Sites, who are chosen by the community, use tools that grant them limited access to nonpublic information about recent contributions so they may protect the Wikimedia Sites and enforce policies.
- This Privacy Policy does not apply to all sites and services using MediaWiki software, such as sites or services that have their own privacy policy or sites or services run by third parties.
- Content on Uncyclopedia is licensed on a CC by SA license. Any questions about CC by SA should be directed to a site admin.
- Personally identifying information will only be disclosed if you give it out or if it is required by law in the circumstances, such as a subpoena or warrant.
- Distribution of personally identifying information of others on the sites without their permission is grounds for immediate termination of permission to use the sites, and permanent account restriction (banning).
- For the protection of Uncyclopedia.org and other users, if you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you may not use the Wikimedia Wiki Sites.

What are you interested in? If you know a topic well enough to write extensively on it using original content, you probably know a lot of jokes on the topic. Unlike Wikipedia, we accept "original research" as long as it is not boring.

If you like interacting with others who share your interests and like to write just for fun without any pressure or schedules, you will like it here! We do not pay anyone, so there is never any pressure for any one person to produce content. But we strongly encourage creation of quality content: we even give out virtual rewards for doing so. (Sorry, nothing that could be used as cash or cash equivalents though.)

Technically, ANYONE with access to the internet can contribute. So you can contribute whether you are young, old, or anywhere in between. There is something for EVERYONE.
However, for legal and liability reasons we ask that if you have not reached the age of majority in your country that you get any required permission first. And no, we will not make you upload a picture of your permission slip. Even if we wanted to (which we don't) we have no way of keeping the content of uploaded files secured and private. So just don't write the kind of complete nonsense that a young kid would: if you write like a kid you are probably a kid unless you are making an exception from your usual writing style.
